Arsene Wenger has revealed the three things he misses most about being Arsenal boss.

The legendary Gunners boss stepped down after 22 years in charge of the north London club at the end of last season, making way for Unai Emery to take over.

Wenger has taken a sabbatical since leaving his post at the end of last season, but has expressed a desire to return to management.

In an exclusive interview with beIN SPORTS Wenger opened up to Richard Keys and Andy Gray about where he is currently, and looked back on his time at Arsenal

“I don’t feel retired at all but I feel frustrated from competition,” said Wenger. “I am basically a competitor and what I miss – honestly there are many things I don’t miss at all, like all of the stuff around the game you have to deal with.

Arsene Wenger will ended his 22-year reign at the end of last season.

“But of course, the day, the competition, the achievement that you can do together, sharing emotions, sharing competitions, ups and downs with others, of course you miss that because I spent my life in that.”

AC Milan, Real Madrid and the United States national team have all taken an interest in appointing Wenger, and Bayern Munich approached him about taking a technical position at the Allianz Arena.

The 70 year-old recently stated he was ready to return to management. He turned down the Fulham job this week before the Cottagers appointed Claudio Ranieri to replace Slavisa Jokanovic.

Wenger promised when he left Arsenal at the end of last season that he would not manage another Premier League team, but he is open to taking a job in Europe.
