Arsene Wenger has revealed he plans to return to football in the New Year.

The Gunners legend who was replaced by Unai Emery earlier this year has been enjoying his time off after 22 years in charge of the club.

Wenger though says he’s rested and has hinted that he will be in a new job in 2019 – and that he could already have one lined up.

Paris Saint-Germain are known to want him as their director of football but the 68-year-old Frenchman suggested he could become an international manager, or even return to Japan, where he was in charge of Nagoya Grampus Eight before moving to Arsenal in 1996.

“From my 22 years at Arsenal, I have big experience on different levels. There are enquiries from all over the world,” the Frenchman said (via Sky Sports). “There are associations, national teams, it could be in Japan.

“I believe that I will start again on January 1st,” said Wenger, who joined Arsenal from Japanese club Nagoya Grampus Eight in 1996.

“I feel rested and am ready to work again. But where? I don’t know yet.”

The Arsenal hero won a record seven FA Cups and three Premier League titles for during his tenure to establish himself as the club’s greatest ever manager.
