According to reports, Bayern Munich are considering launching a bid for Olivier Giroud.

The Arsenal striker has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates in the past year and came close to joining Everton in the summer.

Giroud left it late to reject the Toffees, opting to compete for a place in Arsene Wenger’s side. Yet so far, things haven’t gone his way.

The Frenchman is yet to start a game in the Premier League and is currently playing second fiddle to club record signing Alexandre Lacazette.

It now appears Bayern Munich are keen on adding to their strike force to take the pressure off top scorer Robert Lewandowski.

The Poland international has been in scintillating form again this season, scoring 20 goals in 21 appearances for club and country.

A move away from the Emirates to the Allianz may not be the wisest decision for Giroud with next summer’s World Cup fast approaching.
