Arsenal ended a run of three league defeats on the trot with a home win over Watford at the Emirates.
Shkodran Mustafi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitrayan scored a goal each in a 3-0 win to ease the pressure on Arsene Wenger.
Protests against the direction of the club were evident once again as just over half of supporters turned up for Sunday’s fixture.
The corresponding game saw the Hornets take all three points at Vicarage Road back in October. Watford skipper Troy Deeney, who had bullied the Arsenal back-four throughout, famously accused the Gunners of lacking “cojones” in an extraordinary post-match sit-down with BT Sport.
The Englishman had also poked fun at Bellerin after the game, suggesting the wing-back “couldn’t see what he’s doing [because] he had his long hair in the way”.
However, Arsenal fans will feel they have finally got their own back on Deeney who saw his penalty saved by Petr Cech with the score at 2-0.
Bellerin hit back at the Watford man following the game posting on Twitter BT Sport’s interview with the Watford captain along with the caption: “Looks like you couldn’t see today either @T_Deeney”.
