Besiktas are in talks to sign Danny Welbeck.

The Turkish club are believed to be hunting for a new attacking player after selling Cenk Tosun to Everton for around £27m.

Welbeck has struggled for game time in the Premier League this season and according to the Star, Besiktas president Fikret Orman has flown to England to hold talks with Arsenal.

The forward has completed 90 minutes just three times this season with Arsene Wenger preferring to use the 27-year-old as a substitute.

Welbeck moved to north London in a £16m move from boyhood club Manchester United in 2014. The England international’s current deal expires at the end of next season, but it is increasingly likely that the striker will not see out his current deal.

Further departures are expected at the Emirates. Alexis Sanchez is all but set for a move to Manchester United, while Theo Walcott is nearing a move to Everton.
