Pierre-Emerick Aubaemyang scored twice to give Arsenal a final day victory at Burnley.

The Gunners’ 3-1 win over the The Clarets means they finish 5th in the Premier League final standings.

Unai Emery will be disappointed not to make automatic Champions League qualification, but the head coach still has another crack at reaching Europe’s top competition if Arsenal can beat Chelsea in the Europa League final.

Aubameyang, who scored a hat-trick on Thursday as Arsenal beat Valencia in the Europa League semi-finals, finished the season with 22 league goals.

The Gabon international shares the Golden Boot with African companions Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

Aubameyang put the Gunners 2-0 at Turf Moor, before Burnley, who had already secured a fourth straight season in the Premier League, pulled one back as Ashley Barnes met Johann Berg Gudmundsson’s pass with a glancing header.

Arsenal’s 19-year-old forward Eddie Nketiah added a third with the last play of the game in the 95th minute as he poked the ball through Heaton’s legs.

Gooners, how would you sum up Arsenal’s 2018/19 season? Let us know in the comments…
