Arsenal were fortunate to come away with a point at Burnley.

Sean Dyche’s side will be ruing their missed opportunities in the goalless draw at Turf Moor.

Arteta recalled Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the starting lineup following the striker’s three-match-ban.

However, the Gunners captained barely had a sniff in the 90 minutes as Arsenal road their luck.

In truth, the Gunners lacked creativity at Turf Moor and rarely troubled Nick Pope in goal.

The hosts came closest to breaking the dealock 15 minutes from time. Jay Rodriguez’s side-foot volley came down from the underside of the bar and bounced away off the goalline, replays clearly showing the ball had not crossed.

Arsenal have extend their unbeaten run to seven games in all competitions but remain 10 points adrift of a Champions League place. Burnley are 11th.

The Gunners have a two week fixture break before they return to Premier League action at home to Newcastle (Feb 16).
