Chelsea are the latest Premier League side to express an interest in the signature of Arsenal ace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, The Daily Mirror reports.

The Blues, along with Manchester City and Liverpool, are keen on bringing the England international to the club amidst speculation he could leave Arsenal- as he’s entered the final 12 months of his current deal with no indication of an extension.

Oxlade-Chamberlain had previously struggled to establish himself as a regular in Arsenal’s first-team, struggling for form and with injury issues, but he fought back valiantly in the back-end of last season to become an important member of Arsene Wenger’s side.

The 23-year-old excelled in a wing-back role for the Gunners, playing on both the left and the right hand side, whilst he also impressed in the centre of midfield- a position where he sees his future, although he will face difficulty establishing himself in that position at Arsenal.

That could lead to him to seek an exit, although he’s unlikely to get central opportunities with Chelsea or Manchester City, but they could lure him to the club with the offer of Champions League football.
