Arsenal are aiming to reach their first Carabao Cup final since 2011, but first they have to negotiate a way passed the current Premier League champions Chelsea.

Arsene Wenger will continue to serve his touchline ban and is expected to revert to a full strength side for tonight’s 1st leg.

The League Cup is the only domestic competition to elude Wenger in his tenure in England.

The boss has a number of injury problems to contend with. Granit Xhaka (groin) and Shkodran Mustafi (knock) are both doubts. Meanwhile, Nacho Monreal (knee), Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Olivier Giroud (hamstring) are all out.

As for the hosts, Antonio Conte will be able to call upon Eden Hazard after the Belgian recovered from a calf problem.

However, new £15m signing Ross Barkley is unavailable. The former Everton midfielder continues to recover from hamstring surgery.
