It is currently 9:22am on Sunday 16th August, the morning off the Community Shield and the start of the competitive season.
I’m fortunate enough to be heading to the Principality to watch the mighty Arsenal take on Manchester City. This to me, is one of the best games to get tickets to. I say this in terms of if you win, you’re loving life, if you lose you’re not really bothered. Either way a great day out. So with that the base feelings are excitement and hope to see how the boys perform this season. This is the line up I want to see:
Raya, White, Gabriel, Mosquera, Calafiori, MLS, Bruno G, Odegaard, Tzolis, Viktor and Dowman.
I think this is a good mix of experience with new signings. With Eze, Saka and Rice coming off the back of a long season last year paired along side a long world cup campaign. The boys need a rest, and this is exactly what we should give them. It’s a good opportunity for big Gabi and Mosquera to develop an early understanding as I personally don’t see Willo returning to the squad until at the least the clocks go back.
Overall, I do think we will get the job done. Even without a full squad, we have the quality, we are the Champions and this is a great opportunity to show why we are!
