Arsenal target Upamecano has issued a come get me plea with reports claiming the RB Leipzig defender’s preferred destination is the Premier League.

German publication BILD are claim the Frenchman’s ‘dream’ destination is England, where he could be lured away for around £50million.

Arsenal are also competing with Tottenham, Barcelona Bayern Munich for his signature.

Upamecano has 18 months left on his current deal in Germany and he has reportedly resisted attempts to tie him down to a long term deal.

He has made 17 league appearances this season and five in the Champions League for Leipzig.

Arsenal are already suggested to have had a bid of £50m rejected in 2019, but they could go back in with another offer in the summer.

Mikel Arteta currently has several centre-halves at his disposal, but the futures of Shkdoran Mustafi and Kostas Mavropanos are uncertain. While both Calum Chambers and Rob Holding have had long lay offs this season.
