Denis Suarez is ‘close to joining Arsenal’.
That’s according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.
The Gunners are looking to splash the cash this winter after stumbling of late.
However, so far the manager appears to have ignored calls from fans and pundits to sign a centre-half.
Suarez has been frozen out at the Nou Camp is expected to reuinite with Emery, who he played under during his stint at Sevilla.
Barca will only consider a loan deal if Arsenal pay £20m now to make the switch permanent this summer.
Sheth has revealed a deal is close.

“As for arrivals at the Emirates,” he said on the Sky Sports Transfer Centre.
“What a signing this could be. Sky in Italy claim Barcelona winger Denis Suarez is close to joining.
“Arsenal boss Unai Emery indicated at the weekend that the club are after a player who could operate on the right or left wing and he’s worked with Suarez before. The player spent a season on loan at Sevilla in 2014 when Emery was in charge.
“Interestingly Suarez travelled for yesterday’s game with Getafe but he didn’t make Barcelona’s 18-man squad.”
The Gunners currently sit fifth in the fight for a top four place. They are also being linked with bids for Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez and Mehdi Benatia of Juventus.
