Splendid first half performance from Arsenal today, and a well deserved victory over Brighton at the Amex Stadium. The match saw a return to the XI for Walcott and Ozil and funny enough a return to the score sheet as well for both. The former broke the deadlock after just 89 seconds, with a fantastic snap shot on the turn after some good work from Chambers down the right. Arsenal were cruising. And after some more fluid passing and moving, they would soon get a second. A delicious disguised pass from Rosicky to find Ozil all alone in the area. He dispatched his effort into the bottom corner and Arsenal were in total control.

It was a tale of two halves though, as Brighton  gave us a bit of a scare early in the second. Chris O’Grady fired beyond Szczesny to cut the lead in half just five minutes after the break, but Tomas Rosicky’s peach of a volley nine minutes later restored Arsenal’s two goal lead. Brighton would score again in the 75th to set up an interesting finish but Arsenal held on for the win.

Two wins on the trot now for Arsenal, and into the fifth round of the F.A Cup we march. COYG!
