Many Arsenal fans have been calling for Jack Wilshere to be handed a place in Arsene Wenger’s Premier League starting XI.

The midfielder who fractured his leg in April has successfully made his return back into the fold and has impressed the Gunners faithful. Wilshere has featured in three games so far this season, but is now being tipped for a return to the England set up.

The 25 year-old has been strongly linked with a move to West Ham, and while Arsenal continue to utilise him in domestic cup and European competition, the player may consider his future is best elsewhere.

With next summer’s World Cup on the horizon, the England international will be desperate to perform and ensure Gareth Southgate takes notice.

Arsene Wenger appears settled with Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey anchoring the midfield, meanwhile Mesut Ozil is expected to return to the first-team having recovered from a back problem.

It all means Wilshere is likely to remain on periphery of the side and consequently remain at home next summer.

Gooners, do you think Wilshere will get a run of games in the league this season? And does he need to leave to make the World Cup? Let us know in the comments…
