Well the season is nearly over and what a season it’s been! Between flirting with the treble, going unbeaten 37 games into the season and getting our trophy back (look the Mancs started it last year!) its been an amazing ride.

But the journey is not quite over yet, there are still a few matters to attend to and they culminate this weekend. However unlike previous occasions this season, we can look forward to this weekend and enjoy it for what it is: a fantastic carnival of Arsenal football club! Heres what we have to look forward too:

Saturday 15th May

3PM: Arsenal v Leicester, final Premiership game of the season.

Can the Gunners go the whole season unbeaten and achieve something that has not been done since 1888? Surely they will not falter at the final hurdle? Well we will find out for sure this Saturday.

But I could not get a ticket you cry? Fear not as it looks very likely that Sky Sports will be showing the game LIVE as it happens! This is usually unprecedented for a Saturday afternoon 3PM kick off but an exception has been made for the last game of the season. But as well as showing this…

Approx. 5PM: Championship trophy presented.

Think the celebrations at White Hart Line were good, wait until you see these! The boys have worked their socks off to get the Premiership back and no doubt they will be in a mood to party! Expect shorts pulled down, Freddie wearing a stupid hat and much merriment! If thats not enough though…

7PM Women’s Premiership Title Decider: Arsenal v Fulham

Once the men have been dragged off in a drunken stupor it’s time for some women on women action! Well okay, its “only” a football match but there will definitely be some flesh on show … well they do wear short sleeve shirts and shorts you know 😉 Seriously the women’s Premiership is poised on a knifeedge, it’s a winner take all match and admittance to Highbury is free! Yes FREE! Come on ladies, lets make it a Championship double!

Sunday May 16th

10:30AM Outside Highbury: Open-top bus Championship parade!

Could not make it to the Leicester game? Fear not for there is going to be a street party like no other! The squad will be starting an open top bus tour of Highbury and the local Islington area, culminating in a civic reception at Islington town hall! Tradition dictates their will be addresses from Le Boss and the boys (whether Ian Wright will hijack the podium again is unconfirmed at this stage…) and it will just generally be a massive celebration! Come to see the trophy, stay to party like Spurs aint won a trophy since 1999!

Think the weekend has been good? Will the festivities are not over…

Monday May 17th

7:45PM: Arsenal XI v England XI, Martin Keown’s testimonial

Arsenal legend. It’s a phrase banded about a lot but few truly deserve it. Martin Keown is most definitely one who does. Playing the majority of his Gunners career along side the mighty Tony Adams means that Martin often does not get the plaudits he deserves, but to be a regular in a successful club side for over 10 years is no mean feat. It looks like this season will sadly be his last, so it is fitting we can come together to say goodbye to him. The fact that the match should be a cracker is only a bonus!

The following players are confirmed for the match:

David Beckham
Paul Gascoigne
Ian Wright
Shawn Wright-Phillips
Marc Overmars

as well as a selection of first-team squad players and many more!

Not only that but the Premiership trophey will be on display and there will be a half-time celebrity match! If you cannot make it to the game Sky Sports will be showing highlights at 10pm on Sky Sports 1, just after the First Division play-off match.

So there it is in all its glory! There has to be something for everyone across the weekend and its vital to savior occasions like this.

So let’s rejoice in the life of an Arsenal fan and sit back, relax, enjoy and immerse ourself in Arsenal Mania!
