Alexandre Lacazette scored his second goal in as many games to give Arsenal a 1-0 win at Olympiacos.

The Gunners have put themselves in a superb position for qualification into the Last 16 after Lacazette’s late strike in Greece.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang used his pace to latch on the end of a Shkodran Mustafi cross field-pass. Arsenal’s top scorer then spotted an oncoming Bukayo Saka, who squared it to Lacazette to finish from close range.

After the match, Mikel Arteta acknowledge how important the victory was for his side.

“It’s tough to come to a stadium like this and come away with a win,” he said.

“There are some great things for our development as a team.

“The first 10 minutes we suffered and were completely poor.”

The Gunners remain unbeaten in 2020 and are now in pole position to progress through to the next round.

They will now switch their focus to Everton in the Premier League.
