Arsenal’s chances of keeping Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates Stadium are looking to be bleaker and bleaker with each passing day, with Spanish outlet Sport stating Bayern Munich are the frontrunners for his signature.

The 28-year-old enters the final 12 months of his contract this summer and, whilst Arsenal will hold negotiations on an extension, the general consensus is that the Chilean will leave the North London side.

Bayern Munich are keen to land the two-time Copa America winner as they seek to rival the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid for European dominance, after a number of seasons falling short on the continental stage.

With wingers Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery both in the twilight stages of their careers, Bayern will have work to do to find a replacement and Alexis could certainly be that man.

The Bavarian champions will face competition across Europe for Alexis’ signature though, with the likes of Juventus, Manchester City, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid all mentioned as possible destinations, but Carlo Ancelotti’s side will fancy their chances.
