Arsenal face a crucial summer over the months ahead and their transfer window could come down to their ability to keep star names, with Alexis Sanchez’ future continually being thrown into speculation.

The Chilean ace is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and seems increasingly unlikely to secure his future to the Gunners with a fresh deal, with an exit looming for Arsenal’s star-man.

Fresh reports from South American newspaper El Mercurio state Alexis Sanchez’ agent is set to fly to Germany to discuss a deal with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, who are willing to sanction an astronomical £50m swoop for the two-time Copa America champion.

The chances of Alexis moving to the Bavarian giants have been talked up in recent weeks by Alexis’ compatriot Arturo Vidal, who has urged his side to complete a deal for the man who has scored 29 goals across all competitions this season.

Arsenal have seemingly accepted defeat in their quest to keep Alexis at the club and will sanction a deal this summer rather than lose the former Barcelona man for nothing next season- and they’d prefer to sell to Bayern than Premier League rivals Manchester City.
