But in a move the sceptics will claim was only completed in order to get Arsenal season ticket holders to renew out of fresh hope this transfer window may be different, we’ve seen the Gunners fail to land Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy with just an up-and-coming Japanese wonderkid in the form of Takuma Asano arriving since.
With transfer rumors as old as time such as Gonzalo Higuain to Arsenal and Alexandre Lacazette to Emirates Stadium rearing their head once more, it makes for the same old disgruntlement and disillusionment in North London for the time being.
