So Arsenal’s Premier League season is now only four days away and the Gunners have still only made one major signing in the summer transfer window.

This is quite simply not good enough for a large proportion of Gooners who simply request that Arsene Wenger and co just add the quality players in the few positions that the club are in need of.

Despite starting the summer transfer window with a bang by signing Granit Xhaka, you could argue that this shouldn’t have been the area Wenger should have prioritised.

Everybody has known for a while now that the Gunners need an experienced centre back and a lethal striker but heading into the final stages of the transfer window, these components haven’t been added.

And you have to question why?

Because with the Emirates Stadium outfit now boasting enough sums of money to sign some of the players their rivals have, why would you choose to not invest more freely?
