Former Arsenal man Jeremy Aliadere has been welcomed to train at Arsenal by Arsene Wenger, the 34 year-old revealed.

The Frenchman is without a club having parted with former club Lorient in 2016. Aliadiere met with Wenger following Arsenal’s 5-1 demolition of Everton where the two spent hours watching football and reminiscing about old times in the manager’s stadium office.

Wenger has since given him an open invitation to come back to train at the Gunners’ London Colney training ground anytime he wants.

“I was with SFR Sport because they just wanted to follow me for a couple of days to see my new life after football, going back to the Emirates to see Wenger and the old players I played with,” Aliadiere told Goal.

“I’ve never really been in touch since I left Arsenal or talking to him on a regular basis. Every time I need for him for anything or I see him at the game we always spend a lot of time together and have a good chat.

“After the game I went to his office in the stadium and spoke for a few hours, watching football and chatting about the old days, my new life and family.

The attacker spent six years in north London. He featured 29 times in the league, scoring once.

Aliadiere also enjoyed spells at Celtic, West Ham and Wolves. He left Arsenal in 2007 and established himself as a regular for Middlesborough, finding the net 11 times in the league during a three years stint in the north east.
