You may remember Thomas Lemar, who was heavily linked with a switch to Arsenal and Liverpool in 2017.

The Gunners were reportedly failed with a £92m bid for the Frenchman in 2017, but saw their efforts rebuffed by Monaco.

Arsenal found their Sanchez replacement in Henrikh Mkhitaryan but Arsene Wenger confirmed after missing out on Lemar that he would revive his interest.

That didn’t materialise and in 2018 he signed for Spanish club Atletico Madrid where he struggled for form in his debut season. Lemar registered just three goals and four assists in 31 La Liga matches in 2018/19.

It’s raised questions as to whether the wigner could be on the move once more.

However, he is keen to make the move work out and has ruled out an exit this summer.

“I’m at Atletico and I’ll be back next season,” Lemar told beIN Sports (via The Mirror).

”I still want to progress. I wanted to do it this season, I will try to do even better next season.”
