Clinton Morrison has stuck his neck out and predicted Arsenal to finish below Leicester next season.

The Gunners ended up 5th in the league last time out, while the Foxes finished 9th, some 18 points adrift of Unai Emery’s men.

The North Londoners are having a tough summer so far though. Emery is working with a tight budget and has reportedly been given only around £40 million to strengthen his squad.

Meanwhile, Leicester have shown more ambition, spending more than £70 million in the first few weeks of the window.

Smart signings such as the likes of Ayoze Perez and Youri Tielemans have seen them strengthen. And Morrison reckons it could see them finish above Arsenal this season.

The former Birmingham and Crytal Palace forward told TalkSPORT (via Leicester Mercury): “I can’t see Arsenal bringing in a whole load of players this year and I think it will be a struggle.

“Me personally, I think they will struggle and the team, I think, to look out for this year, that will finish above Arsenal is Leicester.

“I know Arsenal fans will be hammering me now on Twitter, but that’s my honest opinion.

“I think Leicester have done great business, they have brought in some really good players.

“They might lose Harry Maguire to Man Utd for £80 million, but that’s a lot of money coming in and they can buy replacements.

“I think Leicester will have a really good season.

“They will finish above them and you can get me on at the end of the season.”
