Pulis set to leave Stoke.

League is very weak
Fans turned on him at one stage this season, even when they were winning you had Stoke fans complaining about the football, so I think Pulis knew his job was done.

Fair play to him, done a good job at Stoke, say what you like about their football but its whats kept Stoke in the Premiership.

Everton and Stoke are in serious trouble next year. Everton will do well to finish top half, while Stoke must be relegation candidates.

Shame.
He seemed such a decent bloke and always tried to make his teams beautiful football.
I assume that the Stoke board have let him go so he can take over at Real Madrid.

Should watch his 20 minute rant. Do not want to discuss his political views, but as a manager I agree fully with his views. When we beat Wigan and the Sunderland players went out on the town he is punishing them, stating that it is important for the sake of the sport that they respect the competition and should have been focused on winning at Tottenham for the sake of Arsenal.

Made so much sense, the press are making him out to be a tyrant but as he said Phil Bardsley is a grown man at 31 and should be setting an example for the youth players, very unprofessional.

Say what you will about the man but there's no doubting that he has a real passion for football and in this case he's absolutely right, the FA shouldn't meddle into internal club affairs.

West Ham have agreed £15 million fee for Andy Carroll. Ridiculous really. If Liverpool hadn't paid £35 million for him, he would be worth less than £10m. Dokaka pointed out that Carroll has proven to be effective for WHU, but £15 million for an injury prone target man who has never scored more than 11 league goals at the highest level?

Our team was literally night and day depending on if Carroll was on the pitch.

Don't look at the goals, they're just a bonus. He's a target man, and by far the best in the league at it. Insane work-rate, unbeatable in the air, great at holding up the ball and unplayable at set-pieces.

Liverpool just blew money that summer that bought Henderson,Carroll,Adams, and Stewart D. I think Liverpool is still paying for that horrible summer.

Probably as good a signing for Carroll as it is for West Ham. He's looked far better this year, but still never worth £35m

If the West Ham fans are happy with Carroll for 15m then good luck to them.

Could have probably got Bony for 10m and a good winger for 5m. Fat Sam though I guess.

That is the same as our own transfer record.
How and why?

Read above. It's because Carroll is the best target man in the league, the strongest player in the world in the air, has a huge work rate, carries the team, etc.

Forget about his goals and the fact he has only ever really produced for 6 months at Newcastle, this guys an absolute steal

It's not the fact that he is worth it or not, I actually happen to think he is.
It's that a club like West Ham are spending equal to our club record on one player.
No offence to them but how can they afford that sort of money?

A-M's drunk uncle
I was out with some older Hammer dudes at Newmarket race course on Saturday, and I learned that Carroll and Nolan have been drinking heavily in pubs and bars around Romford very recently.... On one occasion, they were sat next to each other on a couch in a pub, giggling like schoolgirls, only for Carroll to throw his guts up all over himself and on the floor in front of him. Not many people were in the gaff at the time, so he quickly ripped his shirt off, screwed it up in a ball and made for the exit with Nolan in tow! Sounds like it wont be long before one of them is nicked for drink driving!

We had a few of those ourselves a while ago.
I remember some of my mates used to drink in the same places as Adams and Parlour and they could both take their drink. From what they said I gather that Adams "could drink anyone under the table."

Didn't seem to do him any harm, he is the only player to captain a club to the league title in three different decades, and our greatest captain.
