I'm still catching up with this thread and seeing a lot turn on our players blaming them being pussiez and what not.

What if the Alexis training ground spat was nothing to do with that? What if it was just a random fight? We don't know all the facts.
Ok, but if it was a random fight, so what? Why would everyone be assuming Alexis was the guilty party in that case? And why was it leaked and why is it in every sports bulletin?

Why so serieuse?
Wenger's still insisting that all is right with Alexis, and the decision to drop him was because he wanted to go direct. If thats true, thats even worse, IMO. If Wenger thinks that we can beat Liverpool without Sanchez(who he had to bring on at halftime anyway), then he certainly needs to get his head checked.

which is the worse crime of all - spending all those years and money on playing the 'Arsenal way' with fans who cry 'hoof' every time a ball goes long, suddenly he decides we're going to play like Bolton under Allardyce?

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at?

I'm simply saying that this fight could be nothing to do with our players being pussies (although a lot of them are), Alexis may actually be in the wrong here.

Regardless of what may or may not have happened, if he did storm out of training then Wenger was right to punish him however. Him coming on at half time though? That's just another gag in the comedy that this club has become.

Alexis is the master of the contrived platitude insta post. Can't stand that sort of bollocks.

Do hope its true that the incident wasn't as bad as was reported but I think he's on his way out. Can't always be causing drama, no one will put up with players that do no matter how good they are.

"The nail that sticks out gets hammered down." How's that for an inspirational nothing quote.

Nah he dropped him. Shouldn't have though, we can't afford not to play him at this point. Run him into the ground and then sell. Sick of this nonsense.

Get Alexis, Özil, Wenger all out. Kos cover all positions.

No objection to the idea. Sit back for the frantic press in the first half and pass long. Second half when they're more knackered bring on Alexis and switch styles.

But it didn't work for two main reasons. We had no-one who was able to make those eye of the needle passes to Giroud, even if could have controlled them. He touched it less than Cech.

And secondly Coq and Xhaka were over run in spectacular style. Iwobi in particular didn't come back and help and when he did, hadn't a clue.

Yes it doesn't stand up does it, though both Welbeck and Giroud were included for their ability and stature to compete for aerial duels of which they pretty much failed miserably at (against Pool ffs) He(Wenger) couldn't find a place for Sanchez who incidentally when brought on our success in the 50-50 duels improved and amazing how such a little fella can be such a handfull against taller guys when the ball is launched in His general direction.o_O

Still though without Sanchez, Welbeck and Giroud were well below par on the duel front, but then both lacking match fitness, still should have done better.

Of course something happened. But this is Wenger being a good manager and protecting his player. There are a lot of times when Wenger shouldn't protect his players but this is one of them.

Whatever the truth of it is, this will take the heat of the teams performance a little. I doubt he would have been enough to counter such abysmal defending though, so nothing lost.

Lovely. So we just want "yes" men on our team bowing to the manager and the board? Keeping their well paid mouths shut.
Show me where I said that
There is a way to show ur disappointment or whatever. You dont walk out of ur job in the middle of work and let down your team workers and bosses down. Its quiet simple

I'd imagine the dressing room is probably as divided as we are as fans in terms of pro Sanchez v anti Sanchez.
Philippe Auclair said that it was "Sanchez against all" in the dressing room after he walked out last week.

Yeah, but Sanchez knows if he gets fired, he'll find a new better
job easily  That's the difference between him and the likes of Coq, Giroud, Ox, ect.
If Coq, Giroud, Ox, etc. did it, no one would ***** much about it. It would be 'I am done with them, sell them, release them' and stuff like that. They are all under a contract and represent something million people care for.
Be it Alexis or Jenkinson, it's the same thing. There is always a way to do the right thing even in bad times, but first and foremost there is a professionalism and respect you need to show

Its not a democracy. The bolded part there is actually exactly what should be happening. Put their heads down and work. They can do that without being "yes men." Perfectly possible to talk to the manager in private, either individually or as a group, if there are concerns to be addressed. But the manager decides what happens so long as he is in charge (up to the club to decide when that ends), and the players are paid a stupid amount of money to go along with that and just do the best they can for the team.

Yes? It's a ****ing workplace, they're paid to show up and do a job. Imagine if you just walked out at work after an argument with your boss

There's no argument here. Wenger is the boss, what you think of him means nothing. As long as he's the manager, he's in charge.
