We've apparently bid £16 million for the 20 year old, next Mesut Özil who plays for Trabzonspor. There are a few Turkish links which have been picked up by the Daily Express, which is one of the crappiest tabloids in the UK.

From my brief youtubing he seems like a young Özil in every way but shoots more and faster. Any Turkish league watchers with more info? He has been linked with Atletico, Man Utd, Benfica and AC Milan. AC had a £10 million bid rejected during the summer.

He looks like a good player, much stronger than Özil, looks pretty quick too. We should be looking to get him in Jan but it will take more than £16m, especially with Utd, Pool and others interested.

I watching PSG vs Lille yesterday and the commentator said we are strongly interested in him. Lille are apparently having to sell a few players to stay above the water.

He plays absolutely nothing like Özil, it's a lazy comparison based on their Turkishness. Has played mostly attacking mid, but considers himself a forward and produces more when he plays as a forward. Lille started to use him more as a forward this season, hence the improvement. Suited to a second striker or false nine role. Very clinical finisher, good movement without the ball, decent creator, okay pace and strength.
