Ultimately the Premier League has gotten stronger, Arsène will bleat on and on about why we simply deserve to be top four due to our selfish owner's lack of spending but it doesn't make any difference.

He was excellent at taking the 3rd/4th best squad of players to 3rd/4th place year in year out, the moment they stopped being the 3rd/4th best squad of players we dropped out of the top four.

He is not the kind of manager to get an extra 10% out of anyone, or to orchestrate tactical masterclasses to sneak big games; now he's not even able to build a squad that is 3rd/4th best in the league.

He can't be sacked and he won't leave until he gets us back into the top four, which he never will.

The same people comparing us to Sp**s and saying they are on the up (even though they haven't touched the heights we have in over half a century) are making erroneous claims here. Yes Wenger needs to go but 'Wenger has created this culture for 20 years'... bollocks man.

Culture takes a long time to manifest.

He has been given more power as the years rolled on until he had power over everyone in the club. Sure people allowed it but he still took it and ran with his highway or no highway.
The highway ran out of tar over 10 years ago.

I dislike the hype and media love-in around Sp**s and think a lot of the praise they get is unwarranted, but seeing how they've come through their recent run of games makes me think back and become even more resentful of Wenger.

United, Liverpool, Newport, Arsenal and Juventus. 5 games, 3 different competitions, all season defining and all in the space of 2 weeks. And they've come through with nearly perfect results. Under Wenger year after year runs like this have completely destroyed our seasons.

Imo we had squads on par with Sp**s currently, if not superior, yet we continuously collapsed. A further indictment of detrimental Wenger has been to this club over the past ~8 years.
