Such unbelievable mismanagement.

We keep the players we loan out who have bad loan spells until their value is nothing (Campbell, Jenkinson) but sell the one for peanuts that get better while away (Szczesny, Gnabry).

From what I've seen, we lost him because of the management - Szczesny refused to return if Wenger signed a contract extension that summer, apparently they were on bad terms.
The £10M was crazy tho, after the seasons he had at Roma his value was far, far higher and now we'll need to spend three times that to find anyone close to the level we need.

He came on leaps and bounds during his loan spell at Roma and that’s no exaggeration. The fact we sold him for so little is a moot point too, we hardly ever get top dollar for our players.

Fine. I'll wait and see if he can keep his place after Buffon retires, but has he fixed his erratic interventions like when he was playing for us?
