class player Xhaka is and a top, top professional.
that freekick was going far top corner as soon as freekick was given.
penalty I live with. Laca messed up (just like Chelsea game), and Musti didnt want a yellow card when he had a chance to stop the counter. Xhaka is the third man to blame there, and the only one who gets a pass cause of playibg out of position and having no help at all against 1v1 specialist.

just like at Basel and Borussia, with time he got to the point where he is probably the best captain material at the club thanks to his top professionalism day in day out

BTW: that survey is disgusting. even the most positive answer oozes hatred towards our player. disgraceful

Great freekick but this is not true. The keeper clearly gets a touch which redirects the ball slightly to the absolute corner. The power alone beat the keeper although the placement was not far from perfect. 20/10 for power and 9/10 for accuracy. Good enough for me though.

Anyone claiming Granit was not at fault for the penalty or that it was a harsh call needs to check the still below. Naive challenge from an experienced international player in our box when we're in the lead. Would rather Zaha score from open play than give it away like this. I'm sorry but this IS NOT a top player.

You would rather he let Zaha score a goal than stop Zaha with the chance that Leno saves the pen? Are you sure you wanted us to win this game?

Your blaming him for making a tackle, you would blame him for not making one.

It was a **** show of a match. On a couple of occasions zaha beat 2 players on his own and every time he loses the ball he drops to the ground.
Lol ofcourse xhaka was at fault, he was the one made the tackle but what the **** else was he to do? He isnt the one having a brain fart this time. Its you.

A shot from that angle is much easier to save than a shot from the penalty which is direct on goal and also about 4 feet closer to the net!

True but I was only responding to what you said which is you would rather let Zaha score than give a penalty there.

No, that is where you are wrong. I wanted him to jockey the player like any experienced EPL player should know to do when you're facing a tricky plaer with fast feet in your own box. Hell, I was taught this in my first few years of school football!

I reckon this was a 50/50 call. While there is clear contact, and Xhaka himself admitted it, the point I consider was that Zaha was already going down before the contact was made.

He could have easily avoided Xhaka's challenge, but chose to play for the penalty (fair enough).

And my point is that Xhaka as an experienced player SHOULD KNOW THAT! Has he never seen Zaha play. Surely Emery went over this in video analysis.
These are supposed to be professionals.

On lighter side I have been informed by Hair Stylist of Iwobi that Douzi was forced by Dinos to get Red Card so that Xhaka could play in middle.

Why so serieuse?
Got the feeling that that challenge was instinctive, he just went for it without thinking that it was Zaha or anything. As a amateur defender myself there's something about a ball going past you that you just have to stick a leg out. Happens before you can second guess yourself.

It's virtually impossible to stop , it's a reaction even experienced centrebacks find hard to stop .

One of the most important names in our sheet, a sure starter if available. Irreplaceable in todays market.

If you love football you love Granit.

Very well-known
If we were to take all our players first half performances and give them an average rating then surely Xhaka would be near the bottom if not at the bottom. Needs to change this game really need him to dictate under heavy first half pressure.

Which game are you watching. He is passing the ball nicely and breaking play nicely. He has put in a goal saving tackle. Actually watching Xhaka today should make people realise how lucky we are to have him. Our midfielders sh1t all over Liverpool’s. I also said Fabinho is overrated sometime last year and he is proving me right. He makes Ramsey’s first touch look really good.

Absolutely immense today.

In 2016 a lot of people were desperate to sign him and Kante to form a great partnership, looks like he might do that with Torreira.
