Sokratis and Mustafi are sitting on 4 yellow cards each. One more in the next 4 matches results in a one match suspension.

Looking at our problems with CB's injuries and upcoming festive fixtures, this is bad news.
We've always got the potential to **** up against any time, but having said that getting a 1 games suspension for any of our next 4 games wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. We're playing teams that are 19th, 18th, and 17th. Really we should be beating them regardless of which of our defensive players are used.

I'd give Torreira a rest here, we have a potentially reinvigorated Southampton next week and a NLD in the EFL cup right after. I'd then try to get him suspended for the following game against Burnley so we can be comfortable in future big games.

Be interested to see what Emery does in the EFL. Where his priorities lie. League v Europa v Domestic Cups. Team selection will tell us.

Now the United game is over we’ve played all 5 of the top teams once each and got 5 points. This is the same number of points as last year in the corresponding fixtures.

However two of these games were early on before Emery had a chance to get his feet under the table. Will be interested to see what the next 5 yield.

Still think averaging a point a game when at least four of those teams have spent a lot more on their squad is good.

It's sensational(I'm ignoring squad cost though:lol:) when you consider that we actually outplayed and should have beaten Chelsea and City was Emery's first match in charge. That figure could easily have been 8 points or more.

Might be a good chance for a couple of youngsters tomorrow if Özil/Ramsey are injured. Does anyone know if Monreal is fit?

I don't want to be resting players, we play Huddersfield and we win by as many goals as we can, we then play kids vs Qarabag on Thurs. Make early subs if we are winning easily but don't take things for granted against anyone.

Emery is every bit as good as Guardiola, such a shame he’s inherited a €428m squad, instead of Pep’s €975m. ;)
