I'm not even sure where I stand on this result. It's just expected we will make mistakes and lose. Liabilities all over the park. Iwobi and Leichsteiner prime examples. Wish we had Danny Welbeck fit. He would have been a much better option out there.

Yeah this worries me more than the defence, there’s no reason why we should be struggling to create chances like this, something needs to be done to fix that.

We haven't done well against the smaller teams though. People are pissed because they know we're not getting top 4. We haven't won an away game in the premier league since November. That tells you everything about our top 4 chances, whether or not our run is easier on paper.

What Emery tried to do in the first-half was spot on. Unfortunately the quality just isn’t there and second-half they killed us.

Oh well. Hard not to be disappointed when Arsenal lose but we were never getting anything out of this one. They’ve got 60m Mahrez sitting on the bench while Iwobi is edging towards 200 appearances for us ffs.

Saka isn’t ready to start PL games, Amaechi is closer but he has barely played a month at u23 level since returning from injury. They’ll be ready in time, Iwobi is usually a good performer from the bench.

Think Emery made a big mistake starting Lichtsteiner and then exacerbated it by putting Iwobi on the same side. All the goals came from that side.

Bringing Wenger last 2 seasons with us and compare that to the lack of ambition our current manager is showing is dumb really.

We should be playing attacking football.
Big teams do that, your identity is what makes you attractive.
When you choose to play a LB as a winger and you sandwich your midfield with your defense it tells volumes about the trust that you have on your players.

We have the personel to play a more risky game.
we have the personel to change our tactics in HT.
we choose to start Iwobi and Kola as our offensive treaths.
When we have Ramsey Suarez and Özil on the bench.

Well Emery obviously didn't trust the defence enough to go gung ho from the beginning, so he tried to play the percentages and keep it tight until he could bring on attackers late on to nick a result. He took too long to make the changes but the thinking behind it wasn't terrible. Individual mistakes from experienced heads killed the team again.

Ok this is simple. They have an expensively-assembled squad of top and good players, we have a cheaper version of it. They have owners who want to win, we have an owner who is "not here to win trophies".

We could hire Sam Allardyce and 11 thugs and boot our way into the Europa League or we could carry on doing what we are doing and living on past glories - in the Europa League. That's what we'll do and that's Catch 22.

Our best hope is that everyone who is someone does well in their leagues this season and gives us a clear path to the Europa League final next season.

Worst second half of the season so far? Chance creation big problem.

We could barely run in the 2nd half let alone create chances. Everything starts with our defensive clusterfuck. Our attacking players had to do a lot of running back and tackling in the first half and they aren't at the level physically to do both.

We keep trying to add more creativity instead of fixing the root cause. Suarez feels like a pointless signing to me.
