What makes an Arsenal player a club legend?

Still Pining for Wenger
But Giroud has consistently been a 16 league goal striker for us, has consistently been someone with some value as a striker

No he hasn't. He only scored 16 goals in the league twice.

He also has the longest goal scoring drought of any striker in Arsenal history. As well as the second longest goal scoring drought.

Both of which probably cost us a league title because they both came in the business end of those respective seasons

Giroud was Mr. Inconsistent during his time here, missing numerous chances but never got half the criticism Ramsey got for being a bit streaky from time to time.

Giroud is not a legend. He's a popular player because he usually gave his best and he didn't want to leave Arsenal.

It just amazes me that such an average player could be so popular while our players with actual world class ability are so divisive.

Nothing Wrong With Me
Legends are players like George, Brady, Adams, Seaman, Henry, Bergkamp, Pires to name a few. Players who gave everything and won things over a decent period of time. They are not players like Giroud & Arteta who have both been called a legend in this thread. There are some players who could have been classed as legends but have a cloud hanging over their Arsenal career, Fabregas and RVP spring to mind. Cesc didn't win the PL and left in his prime, RVP left in a cloud of sh1t.

That's, like, your opinion, man.

Fabregas loves Wenger, not Arsenal. He's only sucking up to the club now because he knows no other fanbase gives a rat's ass about him.

Same will happen to Judas. Not really liked by the United fan base, hated by us. Indiferent to... fener?

Good luck in Feynoord.

If Koscielny is a legend so is Monreal.
Monreal is a legend, an unsung hero.

A professional’s professional: consistent, nothing flamboyant, workmanlike, solid, knows when to advance and when not, makes good crosses and scores goals.

Love him, and if he’d had better defenders and midfielders around him in his years here, he would have shone like a beacon.
