Other than Liverpool away, don't see the problem with the early fixtures.

Sp**s are getting two heavy D's in their first four games with two of them being Arsenal and City away.

Chelsea have Utd away in their first game.

Utd getting an early and crushing D away at Wolves in their second game.

City and Liverpool?.. well who cares.

Looking at those fixtures you'd think the FA's computer hates us but we haven't done ourselves any favors with our terrible recruitment over the years.

A similarly dismal start as last season, which is not unreasonable, will hasten Emery's departure before the year is out.

It does though, if you have a tough start you'll be playing catch-up with your rivals. It's tough psychologically and gives you less margin for error later in the season because you've possibly already dropped too many points compared to your rivals.

We only have two epl matches that are not on Sat 3pm up until Xmas. Seems a waste having BT Sport and Sky in the U.K. unless we have long runs in the cup competitions.

that's before Sky and BT select their matches for televising though - being London based they are sure to pick up a lot of our home games, as these pundits don't travel well
