Don't know why Barca have been focusing on the likes of Griezmann and Neymar this summer and not on their defense (although tbf, they still haven't properly replaced Neymar considering Dembele and Coutinho's struggles). It's like Barca are chasing the clout and hype (Galactico policy) rather than addressing their issues. They've continuously struck out on their big money signings since getting Suarez.

A defender like De Ligt was surely more needed than another forward considering Pique's age and Umtiti's injury issues/possibly sold? He couldn't have been more expensive than Griezmann or Neymar, surely? It was mainly their defense and midfield that let them down in the CL, and they subsequently strengthened their midfield with de Jong.

Perhaps Neymar will reach his top form at Barca since it's a place he should be happy at, with his mates Messi and Suarez, but it's obviously still a monumental risk, especially at the price/players quoted. Though one could say, in the grand scheme, nothing would have changed with Valverde as manager.

Well, not my problem. Juve are well placed to win the CL next season as a farewell gift to Buffon. Cristiano won't get a better shot than now to add to his collection with all the strengthening Juve did this summer in key areas.

No idea where to put this and not a link at all, but whatever happened to Leon Bailey?

Went from being the next big thing with rumours of high transfer fee to not a word.

@Toby Andrl @Borussin how was he last season?

He had a rough first half of the season - as did the team! But he actually got back into his groove after Peter Bosz took over as coach and they where playing far more attacking football. He had a strong last few weeks to the season, till injury scuppered the last 2 or 3 weeks.

I think he'll be back on form next season as long as Bosz keeps them ticking along, they are in the CL too, so he'll have a chance to shine on the biggest stage.

I belive he may have matured a lot too, I questioned his attitude a lot in the past, he was acting very big for his boots at times! But he seems to have calmed a lot. So hopefully that serves him well too. He's an exciting talent still.

Imaging if City replaced Aguero with Mbappe

Pep will probably end up psg in a few years before serie A stint to complete his title triumphs in Europe's big leagues. Would be a decent achievement even though it will have been with clubs you expect to be up there.

Don't underestimate Neymar's commercial impact as well, easily finances a good chunk of any deal.

Good on Trippier to move out to a foreign club at this stage of his career. Massive upgrade on his career.
