he didn't say the deal in doubt he say he didn't know Asensio had a very bad injury. it's confirmed in spain that loan deal is done only announcement left.

“"I don't know. Our target also was not to take injuries in that match, and they maybe have with Asensio. It [could be] bad news, for them and also for us. I don't know if it can change something.”

While they don't play the exact same position it's not a million miles different considering Ceballos can play as a 10 and maybe Isco is pushed out wider in some games. Or even just to have an extra body Ceballos is a good option to have.

Iwobi and Ramsey where different players but had Ramsey got an injury just before an iwobi loan maybe we would reconsider.

Unrelated, but looks like Asensio is out for the season. Tough one, hate to see a young promising player like that set back in his development. One year out, maybe long-term effects, season after such an injury is also always very difficult. Feel for him.

Same here, such a tidy player, never heard anything off-pitch related about him. Already felt he was underrated at Real and now this, football can be so cruel sometimes.

You should've worked smarter not harder mate. Keep playing, get the cheque and then the girls would've done the chasing.
Man could have been driving down Ilford with the drop top down, shoveling in püssy left and right but he had no patience. Now he has to work hard and get rich but before he makes it he'll probably get some buck teeth having short ***** pregnant and will be forced to settle down. Sad story.

Yeah always a shame when players get serious injuries like that. Sometimes they don’t come back the same player. Hope he recovers well.

He's a cautionary tale to young footballers everywhere.

Stuttgart just bought a 22 year old Austrian CF who looked really promising at the U21 tournament and in pre season. Tore his posterior cruciate ligament, his lateral ligament and his outer meniscus all at once in a test match last week. 19/20 and the start of 20/21 is completely done for him. Really sad for such young guys, especially if it's the knee.

Pfff tough one, at Ajax there’s a 20 year old left winger, bought for 10M, got injured 10 July 2018, and he’s still not back today. He broke his leg and teared some ligaments. In a stupid pre-season friendly. He also came in two months earlier than required, in order to adapt faster. Sad.

Apparently there's a fans Q and A with Vinai and Raul tomorrow. Arsenal fans going have been told to take photo ID and such. Apparently never done that before. Clearly they think it could get spicy

I agree with Darren though, they'll use the two signings tomorrow in that way.
Hopefully Raul tell them that none of your business when they asking them about new signings.
