continuing with established stereotyping even in the face of contrary evidence is a feature of this forum though - Mustafi is a waste of space, even when he has (the odd) good game - Jenkinson is just living the dream at our expense, even when he has a good game - Elneny is useless, even if we improve when he's substituted on - Stan has no interest in Arsenal and only cares about profit, even though it is his son who sits on the board, and does seem to care

hell, there's even a poster or two on here determined to diss Özil all the time;)

I was very kidding, but I do feel some of the defense-or-nothing mentality from some of our fans drifts in this area of extremity.

I'm all for not-overpaying-for-players, but a hyped winger prospect is 10x more exciting than a reliable veteran CB. I say this as a fan, but also think it's true for neutrals

Been watching some videos of Pepe (I don’t watch ligue 1) and he is much more like an striker than a tricky winger... he is like that kind of player Wenger would try to develop... like he did with Henry... Pepe has that kind of running, cut inside and shot style Henry had. That’s very interesting but at the same time it worries me because we know that doesn’t work if you don’t have another winger who involves in creative playing (Theo was deadly but at the same time he lost a lot in games) that’s where the tricky winger helps.

So I don’t know how is going to work having PEA and Pepe at the same time, balance worries me.

Ousmane is a Neymar level dribbler, naturally both footed, not as rapid as Mbappe but still lightning and spins players silly as opposed to Mbappe who more time just blows by them. He’s got an eye for a pass and is much more of a ‘midfielder’.

I think Dembele is more talented but Mbappe is more effective.

Disagree mate. M'Bappe is one step above Dembele talent wise. On top of it, he has a better football IQ as well. He is a rare talent and can be one of the best ever.

Mbappe has everything. It's not just pace to blow past people, he knows when to use a trick and when to use his speed. I agree his mind is a weapon but he has more in his arsenal. He is a complete baller.

He had more than 100 career goals at 20. Dembele is no doubt a talent but Kylian Mbappe is generational. If he stays clear of injury, people will speak of him like they speak of Messi.
