Mr. Agreeable
Bad feeling Emery will start Xhaka and make him captain. Should be going with a 3 man midfield - Willock, Torreira and Ceballos.
Will Liverpool play their ridiculous high line when they'll have the pace of Auba and Pepe running in behind?
Certainly hope they do.

We can make few interesting observations from this. Team looks very structured. In the game against Burnley Auba and Ceballos switched positions. Auba didn't spend most of his time on the wing.
Looking at our full-backs avg. pos., we can make conclusion, that we're quite defensive and pragmatic so far.

For comparison Liverpool players avg. pos.:

I wish Klopp will be dumb enough to play such ridiculous high line against the frightening pace of our attack.
It will be a party!

Perfect time to play Liverpool, they are still on a high from last season and think they automatically will win every game just because the pundits are saying so. I think they are due for a reality check. But knowing them deluded fans, they will just put it on VAR of the Refs

Absolutely no idea what team/system Emery is gonna go with. If ever we were gonna do 4-3-3 I suppose it’d be here. Maybe something like;

Leno
ANN Luiz Sokratis Nacho
Ceballos Torreira Willock
Auba Lacazette Pepe

That’s a very athletic midfield with a lot of technical ability (far more than Liverpool’s). There’s a lot of pace up front and the likes of Ceballos and Luiz can clip a lovely long ball if the opportunity arises.

The best thing about our squad nowadays is the firepower on the bench. I’d quite like to see Martinelli on the bench again because he could be a nightmare against tired legs and he seems fearless.

We can win this game. It would also be a huge statement if we were to do so. Come the **** on lads let’s end this Anfield hoodoo.

COYG!!

I really like this lineup. Imagine having Bellerin and Tierney as wingbacks, pace, power and technical ability across the team. Lacks a bit of creativity but we're a high pressing counter attacking team now, especially against top8 and in away games.

If Willcok, Torreira and Guen make another step this season and progress as their talents insinuate, I can see us shift Xhaka and try to get Ceballos and another energetic all action midfielder. ESR could be another option if he can overcome his injury problems.

Weirdly, probably good news. But think we should go Willock and Lucas.

Worry about ball progression but maybe Luiz can help with that.

I think that's mean no Xhaka. Torreira Willock Ceballos should be out midfield anyway even if Xhaka fit.

Wait, wouldn't Aubameyang be in the middle in that diagram because he played one half in each wing?
Or how are average positions calculated?

Salah and Mane vs Monreal and AMN is why we'll lose this game.
Probably, yeah. Such a shame we may actually have one of the strongest full back pairings in the league but won't be able to start them for a few months. We'll probably face 3 top 6 rivals with a supbar full back pairing.

Think we're also focusing on the lack of creativity/technique in the Liverpool midfield and thinking that means we'll win the midfield battle.

Those lads can all run for days, they'll be pressing at 110% as well due to the crowd and they're not exactly plodders on the ball.

They're simply not plodders , the speed they can move the ball at through there indicates they're not . Will be a good test for whoever we pick in midfield .

Pray it’s a 40 min blitz as they play a high line with Pepe and Auba shredding Matip to pieces with their pace.
