So it's the managers job to drop the mistake prone defenders

All our defenders are ****, sokartis is the only decent one and he's still poor.

Chambers was played in DM for Fulham because he wasn't good enough at CB. Holding has come back from a long injury and truth be told he's been very poor in his games.

Then basically we have mustafi.... o_O

Its all about the midfield. Forget the forwards and defenders. The defenders are useless and need protection. The forwards can get goals. So we need a midfield that protects our weak back 4, and can run the ball to our forwards to do the work. We don't have a double pivot that can do that role. Therefore we need a 3. Not a 2 and a number 10. A holder and 2 in front.

If only we had a specialist dm!

I think people writing off Freddie this early underestimate how difficult this situation is for a coach.

When members of a cult are finally liberated from that cult and return to normal society, they are not immediately liberated from the indoctrinations of their leader. These beliefs have been so internalized that it takes a lengthy deconditioning process to return its members to a healthy level of functioning.

Similarly, though Emery is gone, his ghost has still haunted our last two games. Freddie is not just our caretaker but our exorcist, it will take time for him to decondition our players from Emerys negative influence. I just hope Freddie has not also been hypnotised by emerys spell.

I should add that I am in no way attempting to demonize Unai- he seems like a great guy. His coaching on the other hand...

I don't think it is too early. Freddie has already made his bed. The easiest thing to do is to pick the big name players and just shove them into a line up. He is backing one youth player and that is Willock, who wouldn't even be playing if Ceballos was around.

Xhaka- A player stripped of the captaincy is now a sure starter instead of one of a most promising midfield talents in Guendouzi.

Özil- Is now starting all games, away games, home games, irrespective of whether he does anything in them.

Pepe- On the bench at all times.

Torreira- Still playing as an advanced midfielder.

Auba-Still out wide.

Kolasinac- Somehow still starting.

Lacazette- Been absolutely useless and still starting.

Freddie's answer is to depend on these players and hope they get us out of this rut. Not a change in selection. Not a tactical shift. Not more emphasis on dynamic youth players. Freddie is just carrying on the work Emery did. He was his assistant after all.

Ljungberg is in a no win situation, all he can do now is to fight fires. Fans are deluding themselves if they think all you need to do to solve our problems is to play Pepe and Guendouzi.

Pepe, who has contributed 2 freekicks this season, and Geundouzi, who is a great talent but is clearly needing a break and better coaching so he stops running around like a headless chicken, are certainly not the answer. Anybody thinking it is that simple is absolutely deluded.

You know I absolutely hate correcting you, but Pepe has three goals and four assists in nine starts.

Enjoy your day

At least we know his man management is 100x better than Emery's.The players will fight for you if you back them and don't through them under a bus when **** hits the fan. I think he learned it from someone. ;)
