Very good performance. Dominated the first half. Got gassed again in the second half, running out of steam, just like against Chelsea. It will take some time to get used to Arteta's pressing and intensity, the fitness and conditioning work will hopefully show in time as they get accustomed to it.

But even in the second half the defensive organization was solid. They played like a team and defended like a team. Some players look like new players, and even the usual culprits are performing well.

Looks good so far, but the fitness issue could be a problem in the short term. Chelsea took advantage of it, Man U really didn't. I'm sure other clubs will. We need more outballs and direct counters to compensate for the tiredness.

He got too many chances he not looking good
He did well against Chelsea. Today he didn't get any clear chances that he's wasted. Plus I don't see how beneficial it is to get rid of someone who provides much-needed depth to the squad. What happens in case Pepe gets fatigued or worse, injured?

I am not going to slag off a single player! We actually played well as a team and everyone played just fine. Everyone worked and looked to understand what was asked by them. Nice to see some serious progress and finally get a result. Our first half was real quality!

How can you also want to get rid of Torreira? The guy was class he everywhere.
He was clearly misused by Emery. He was great when he played deeper to start off last season. Everyone was saying he was the type of player we missed for years, possible since Gilberto. So no surprise he plays better where he can utilize his strengths.

There's a reason he's a fixture in the Uruguay set up which has been arguably the most defensibly organized national team in recent years.

So interesting what Luiz just said there

The kids are starting to see what you have to do (work hard) to achieve things in life

Suggests when he arrived he wasn't impressed with the ethic at the club and it wasn't what he was used to

Torreria- Absolutely monstrous for 3rd or 4th game in a row. “Take Laca off, leave me on!!”

Kola - Played one of his best games for us through the pain barrier

Luiz - Plated like an experienced accomplished international all game long

Özil - Purred like a Merc 5.0 S Class AMG

Xhaka - solid as a rock

Great team performance. Really pleased for the guys. Is it truly a new dawn or just new manager bounce? We will see....
