I compared his big game record to KDB in a post in November 2018 and they're not far off:
Sp**s
KDB 1 goal, 0 assists in 3 games
Özil 1 goal, 0 assists in 4 games

Chelsea
KDB 1 goal, 0 assists in 3 games
Özil 0 goals, 0 assists in 4 games

United
KDB 1 goal, 0 assists in 4 games
Özil 1 goal, 1 assist in 4 games

Liverpool
KDB 0 goals, 0 assists in 2 games
Özil 0 goals, 0 assists in 3 games

Wasted his best season on this:

I like Giroud, but him cupping his ear to the fans after scoring a hattrick against an already relegated Villa, who were one of the worst Premiership teams I have seen, after being on that ridiculous goal drought that basically cost us the title...was so bad, don't even really have a better way to describe it, it was just bad

Man, have finally finished the Cesc interview and it’s fantastic. Makes me proper angry / sad though.

He was so obviously burnt out from carrying a load of bums at the end of his time here, but hearing him describe their lack of professionalism is just heartbreaking.

Our recruitment in the early years of the Emirates was simply shocking. Still think Wenger did a brilliant job given our lack of funds, but it’s clear our recruitment department placed too much emphasis on technical ability, and not enough emphasis on discipline and character. Culling the invincibles early was also clearly a mistake.

Gutting to imagine how things might have turned out differently if we’d signed Alonso, or even professionals like Arteta and Mertesacker a few years earlier, instead of surrounding Cesc with ****s like Denilson, Bendtner, Almunia and Chamakh.

Yes but Wenger's Philosophy was always about developing young players

Feel in a way he overrated himself as a player when he was with us.

When everyone was fit we had a really solid squad, double pivot of Song-Wilshere and Cesc alongside Nasri and RVP who were superior players at that point in time.

Koscielny was rash but we still had Sagna and Clichy in defence in those days and Szczesny in goal.

Him going to Barcelona showed that he wasn’t quite in that top bracket of players, a very good but not great player.

Think that Barca didn't use him in proper way and competition was strong in midfield.Once when Pep gone,he played much closer to strickers and didn't do well.

Can't say that will judge his quality overall. Many good players failed in some big clubs.Real ruined so many players, that were top class in some other clubs.

He just wasn’t as good as the other midfielders, his game was too anglicised and he wasn’t able to control the game in the same way as a 34 year old Xavi could let alone Iniesta or Busquets.

No coincidence that once they upgraded him and Alexis (another good but not great player) to Rakitic and Neymar they went up a level and immediately walked to a Champions League.

Xavi and Iniesta were class above most players in that time. Can't compare them to Fabregas. But like i wrote, they didn't use him in right way to show his best like at Arsenal.Like Wenger made some mistakes with Özil and didn't put him in right position.

To be frank,Barca was kinda bad in those 2-3 seasons when Alexis and Cesc were there. They had problems with injuries and managers didn't perform.Enrique came when Cesc left and than came Rakitic.Neymar was also better under him.

Cesc was better than Rakitic. Lucho signed him because to add combativeness to the midfield.

That 2014/2015 Barca team didn't need creativity from deep. The trio of MSN created most of their chances. That midfield was more or less a functional klopp-like midfield.

If you ask a neutral to pick between peak Rakitic or a peak Cesc. That's a very obvious choice

They were bad because they couldn’t balance the team when shoehorning him in. They’d constantly move Iniesta to the right flank to accommodate for him and it wouldn’t work.

Playing him close to the strikers wouldn’t work because Messi preferred to drop off the front and the team was built around making him as effective as he could be.

Top teams rarely base the way they play around certain players unless they’re at that Ronaldo or Messi level. Unlike Suarez who changed the way he played, Cesc was unable to adapt his game. He could only be really effective a certain way.

How Suarez changed his game ? He came in 2014 when Lucho was there.Suarez was in his peak in Liverpool and in his first 3 seasons in Barcelona. He didn't change anything.

Cesc was good in Pep's system. How is he suddenly bad when all team played under expetations ? He flopped,no doubt about that. Was much better at Arsenal and Chelsea.

Just because player don't perform in one team, can't say anything about his real quality.Do you say that Kaka,Robben, Sneijder are bad players because they didn't make it in Real ?
