Arsenal Reloaded

It was hard against Barcelona in those days, they had all possession and teams needed to defend almost perfect. That was probably their best season under Pep.

We could done more in offence, didn't have shot on target and RVP's red card didn't help.
Disagree. Average Wenger signings are why we lost

Reyes involved in most of the goals here, brilliant little player...everything just seemed better back then.

Yeah,it was just end of one golden era in last season at Highbury.Kinda interesting.

Really, our game looked more simple in those days, they made football look like easy game

Really we changed a lot of players that summer or some of them retired.

Henry and Ljungberg didn't have imporant role in their last season with Arsenal.Pires,Reyes,Cole all left us.Bergkamp retired from football.

That would be too much for every club when all top players aren't there anymore.

Was probably the last time we danced at the top table of football was 2005/2006...the Emirates, while having some very enjoyable years itself, just brought to much change for the club really.

...so many great moments in this run...Henry's solo run, Cesc v Paddy, Lehmann's pen save...deserved it that year...

Yeah,it was really special run in CL.We didn't concede goal in KO stages and played on result.

12 min from CL winners with those players.Damn,it'll hurt forever :(

We have same speaker for all those years.

Beautiful football, beautiful kit, beautiful stadium, beautiful day...just beautiful everything back then!

Think Parlour gave an interview not long after this game saying he was glad Arsenal came back and didn't lose the record, despite playing for Middlesbrough

On the subject of Reyes, here he is twice in the 2004 Community Shield against Man Utd.

Pity he missed on this one.

But he had another great run behind the line, and Gilberto with some crazy pace - almost outran the pass from Reyes!

Such a bittersweet season. Unbelievable that we came away empty-handed but in another sense we almost had no right to be competing for the title to begin with, or knockout the reigning European champions. At the start of that season it was thought we'd struggle in terms of top 4 having lost Henry without really replacing him. Few could have predicting the unbelievable performances of Adebayor, Hleb and co that year. The frailties which would come to define the early Emirates era were evident tho. The Eduardo leg break was tough, Gallas' meltdown inexcusable, the lack of depth hurt us when we got injuries and youthness of the squad just didn't know how to cope in the business of the season.
