Nasri was very good under Arsène...but wouldn't his best football have been at City in 13/14, felt he was quality that season.

Nasri was mostly a meh player in his career, both at Arsenal and City...... it was just that he had periods of great form in 10/11 and 13/14 that people remember him for. In that way he's like Özil, a mediocre player that happens to be world class and incredible now and then.

Unlike those Wenger years of signing kids and then selling them on, we are in a position to actually signed finished articles and keep them.

Tierney, Torreira, Saliba, Leno etc, the first 3 for 25M each ffs, then Auba, Laca, Pepe for 50-70M etc. This was never possible for Wenger for the bulk of his career here.

Those sacrifices we made back in the day have now put us in a position to go and sign a LB for 25M, a DM for 25M, and 18 year old CB for 25M, Pepe for 75M, linked with Partey now.

This club is in a great position to push on, don’t know why guys like @Oxeki keep acting like the past is still a burden on the club today. Today we are exactly where we wanted to be when we moved to the Emirates.

Problem is that the more money we spend, the worse our squad got...... we are not in a great position to push on until something is done about our recruitment process cause even Leicester is leaving us on the dust.

I'm not talking about the financial aspect. Financially, we've made huge strides since moving to the Emirates. I'm talking about footballing decisions that put us in our predicament. I'm talking about those when we had our pick ofy talented footballers.

Yes we did sacrifice our success those just so we can be I better position today. But now the club fecked it up by not taking advantage of the better position we were in. Instead of signing quality players, were signing bums on extortionate fees.

Financially we're in a great position, but football-wise, we're as bad as ever

That’s true. Sp**s are hiring Campos apparently, which could unearth a group of great young talent for them.

Our recruitment looks to be lead by Raul and his links to people like Kia, which is giving us Luiz, Soares, Mari etc all poor signings.

We spent a record amount last summer and went from 5th to 10th.

They're still using stat DNA, Gazidis' brain child. The analytics that recommended Chamakh, Park, Gabriel, Elneny, Perez and Mustafi.

They'd have done better sending out some AM posters as scouts, with accommodation, beer and wine thrown in.

Not trying to support Raul or anything. But he did unearth Martinelli
