Yeah pretty good, checkout his excellent EPL record on transfermarkt:
Brendon Rodgers:
Swansea 1.55 points per match
Liverpool 1.77 points per match
Leicester 1.90 points per match

There's another guy even better than Rodgers in the EPL spending 10 times less than United over 22 years.
Arsène Wenger 1.95 points per match

I love Wenger, but the man had to retire, resign (I cannot say fired) at some point.
"Fans" created toxic atmosphere for the club and this brilliant mind...for his health, he had to leave. We have gotten worse just like United when Fergie left.

The problem is Wenger didnt leave given the next person a proper chance and ultimately that is the reason we are here today. Imagine Wenger had left the year we finished 2and behind Leciester. Walk away and give the next man coming in CL football to offer, a new manager will always get a few quid to spend on players he wants. He can also get rid of players he doesnt want easier.

Easier also to lure players to a new project, new manager, CL football and still a few decent players about the club and I dont mean ability. But attitude. Players like Monreal. Was never great but just seemed and honest player. Players like Walcott were just not good enough but their attitude I dont think could be questioned.

Those were the 3 who people praised last summer. And on paper Tierney/Pepe looked players that would please the fans. Luiz was abit like who knows and Martinelli the same.

My problem is we need to start from the back and work forward. A good defence makes up for not scoring so many.

No manager would leave a club when he's just come second in the EPL, when your board was spending 5th. That's really adding value. No wonder the board were pleased. 20th year in a row you'd qualified for the Champions League too. He was still batting above where he should be.

Wenger was a smart man. He knew those teams who dreadfully underperformed would spend and come back stronger. If anything it would have been the right thing to do. Do you honestly think Wenger truly believed he could win the league the year after? If not he should have walked.

The right thing to do was stepping aside from arsenal and pursue Klopp. He was a manager with character and hard working ethics. Something we needed here.

The squad only ever reached 5th for investment under Wenger in his later years. Finishing in the top 4 every year was overperforming. Why should he have walked. Makes no sense.

What we're doing now is massively underperforming. We've got the 5th richest squad and we're 10th ffs.

Because he knew he couldnt take the team any further. When you finish 2nd about 10 points off Leciester having closed the gap the day we beat them to next to nothing, when your main rivals have had arguably all their worst seasons in a long time you know it's time to go. But he was too stubborn and we are paying for it still.

He left when the club was sinking. Not staying a float. Not rising slightly.

And for a man who apparently loved Arsenal, that's just unforgivable. At some point, one just has to let go.

 Yeah, that sums it up. Finishing 2nd behind Leicester was the last straw for our entitled fans, even if we were still in the CL. So lets get him out because he can't finish 1st.

How far are we behind Leicester now? Oh and we're not even in the Europa League any more, and mid table. Enjoy.

Unforgivable for not going when you've finished 2nd, spending 5th. Jesus it's unbelievable.

Finishing second by default because your closest rivals all had shocking seasons. Scraping ahead of tottenham on the final day.

I'm not saying finishing 2nd wasnt good enough.

I was saying that he should have left when he could walk away and leave the club in a good position.

Fergie didnt leave United after they had finished 5th. He left them champions. What happened after that isnt on Fergie.

Wenger clutched onto that top 4 as if it was a title. And every year he got let of the hook as we got top 4. You cant stay top 4 and never look like challenging again. How close did we come to a title since 2004?? So in the next 13-14 years Wenger was in charge we never went up a notch. Always the same. Quarter final CL or last 16. Scraping 4th. There was no improvement. And when there is no improvement for 10-12 years that's stagnation. It doesnt matter if its constantly finishing 4th or constantly finishing 10th. There comes a time when a new face and ideas is needed. Ours came too late.

Could have had Klopp or Pep. Ended up with Emery with 0 English and now someone (who wanted based on there being very little else out there) who is learning on the job.

The task is mountainous.

 If only Wenger would have sacrificed his job in 2016 so we could have had Klopp or Pep, everything would be rosy now. The selfish ****. They'd have got more money out of Stan, got rid of all those rash challenges in Mustafi, Xhaka, Sokratis, stopped all our injuries, sorted out our octogenarian board, turned AMN into Cesc and Eddie into RVP. Oh and we wouldn't be mid-table now but top 4 and CL again, maybe even 2nd . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . back where Wenger was before he walked. Lol

We couldn't be in a worse position so yes. I would bet that had we got Klopp or Pep 2 managers that will actually demand things not just go with the flow we would be in a better position. Wengers problem was he didnt put pressure on the board as it is widely documented he hated any kind of confrontation. The other 2 managers dont.

Klopp and Pep were ruthless and got rid. Hart cities keeper was dumped. Many Liverpool players were moved on. Wenger signed those bums so he was never going to sell them after wanting them as it made him look like he got it wrong. Wenger had a history of holding onto players who didnt cut it for too long.

Would Klopp have kept Bentdner so long? Walcott?

Pep doesn't go to clubs spending 5th and Klopp would have been faced with the same problems Wenger, Emery, Freddie and Arteta had . . .the club doing stupid things like buying cheap Luiz instead of VVD.

There's a lot more to a club than just the coach.

I remember when everyone, well almost everyone called for Kloop and the board didn't seem interested at all. That lack of proper decision making sickness that will crumble this club completely someday.

as if Klopp would have come. Bloody jamie vardy didnt come.

Doesn't really matter where he finished that season because all the other rivals were at their weakest points and we were the favourites to win it all. We came second in a season everyone expected us to come first!
Did he expect to come first when all the rivals had strengthened in the following season? No.
When you are a doctor and you have managed a patient but you are certain you are incapable of treating the patient completely and chances are he would die if he doesn't fully recover you recommend him to a doctor where he'll have a chance of survival.

My God, how are these two related!? Or have you any reasons why you think he wouldn't have come if he had been offered a bigger better job with more pay?
