Dortmund win even less stuff than us despite being the second richest/best club in a farmer league. They've become the definition of a nothing loser club since they accepted their status as Bayern *****boys and embraced being a for-profit talent factory. If they were competing in PL they'd be right along us and Sp**s wallowing in mediocrity.

but Holding’s hair transplant was painless
As a club that relies on its own revenue shouldn’t we be looking at Dortmund and signing young players we can sell at profit.

Salibah, Holding, Mavropanos, Tierney, Guendouzi, Willock, ESR, Saka, Nelson, Martinelli, Nketiah, TJJ, Balogun.

We have more than enough sellable assets under the age of 25.

Liverpool 13/14, and what do you know they almost even won the league. No doubt another one of those rare mythical examples that obviously doesn't count because it goes against your nonsense.
Go back to 2007/8, 13 years. That's 52 top 4 places, 2 of them had 50 or more goals against. That's a 3.8% chance of getting top 4 if you ship 50 goals a season. The last 3 years we've averaged 50 goals a season against.

It's not good enough and if we want to get top 4 we have to improve our defence. You think that's nonsense? The posting on here is ****ing poverty.

In the last 10 years the 2nd richest club in the Bundesliga came 2x 1st, 5x 2nd, 3rd, 4th and a 7th outlier. That's an average position of 2.6 in the league. That's really close to their investment position. What are you expecting ffs?

The whole point in buying Willian on a free is so we can improve the areas we desperately need to improve whilst balancing the attack more.

Willian supposedly getting 140k - that isn't that bad to be honest.

3 years isn't great, but those wages considered and us going to offload many overpaid players, it isn't as bad as initially thought.

Contracts running out in 2 of those 3 years - Mustafi, Özil, Sokratis, Luiz, Kolasinac. So if they aren't sold they'll go anyway meaning we can comfortably have Willian here for 3 years on that wage. Both he and Auba would likely retire here in the same year. In two years you start transitioning Saka as a starter despite still only being 20, same with Martinelli up front you hope.

Its our creativity that we need to improve to get back into the top4. Even when we were rubbish in the late wenger days we had enough creativity to wallop the rubbish teams and get into the top4. Too many draws this season against mediocre teams cost us as we couldnt put them away. Chelsea prime example, worse defense than ours but way more goals and into top4.

Also given what Arteta has done defensively against city & liverpool with Mustafi, Luiz & holding playing, i'm confident even a full season of saliba, tierney & a coupel fo additions our defence will be markeldy better.

Creativity too. Can't argue with that, that comes mainly from midfield. It's not an 'either' 'or' situation.

As I showed above, the Chelsea example is not a good one, nor the Liverpool of 2013/14. Those two outliers are very unusual and they had to score a truck load of goals to get top 4.
