Mikel Arteta: Top Of The Klopps

Arreta said he wanted to play attacking football. For now, we don’t have the right players. Most of our players in the squad are not skillful, and not entertaining to watch. However, I’m glad Arteta’s transfer targets are all technical players.

——Willian——Martinelli——Pepe——————
——Aouar———Partey——Coutinho/Ceballos
—Tierney——Saliba——Gabriel——RB———
——————————Leno——————————-

My skillful/technical Arsenal is back, playing the most beautiful/entertaining football in the world!!!!

No giroud, no ramsey, no walcott, no Özil, no chamberlain.....No more shxt players!!! No more ”efficient/direct/keep things simple” shxt!!!

We need our skillful/technical Sanchez, Cazorla, Hleb, Nasri, Fabregas, Arshavin, van Persie back!!!
Wut? Özil and Giroud were obviously technically good.

Firmino, Benzema, Van Persie, Mbappe, Neymar, Son, Suarez, Tevez, Salah.......
Giroud was not 1% as skillful as them.

Iniesta, Modric, Silva, Isco, Kaka, KDB, Coutinho, Nasri, Cazorla, Eriksen......
Özil was not participating enough in the general play, will not help us in possession. His ball control in crowded area/dribbling skills was not 1% as good. Özil keeps things simple and efficient, he won’t make entertaining and complicated combination with teammate to confuse the opponent.

Can you see the difference? Between Giroud/Özil and the players I have listed above?

Giroud has had 99 appearances for France and scored 90 goals, Benzema 81 appearances, 27 goals.

Considering Giroud has 1% the skill of Benzema, those stats take some explaining :lol::lol:

The only way Giroud has 90 goals for France, is if you add 50 goals to his actual total.

If you have players with better football iq/game reading/skills/ball control/combination play, like Benzema/Firmino/Van Persie/Suarez/Iniesta/KDB/Silva....

Your team will have more possession, create more chance, and score more goals. Because these players have contributed a hell lot in the general play.

(I don’t care about goals??)

If you have a front line of owen, aubameyang, inzaghi, and a midfield of lampard, gerrard and ramsey, your team will lost 10-0 every game. Because these players contributed nothing in the general play. Your strikers needed other players to feed them, waiting to score goals rather than contributing to the attacking play. And your midfielders are not “play creators”/“play contributors” too. They go for goals themselves.

Your team will get outnumbered and lost possession. Your team will create less chance and score less goals (despite having all the goal scorers/goal scoring midfielders in your team). Because they are such a fxxking liability in the general play.

Everybody knows that ffs.

You're so wrapped up and one-sided your repeated nonsense is painful to read. Luckily football is more complex than that.

Özil is past it as a player. And physically he cannot compete. When people say Özil is lazy and does not track back that is simply not true. He does all of that. But his biggest problem is his inability to win a 50-50. And even worse, he shirks away from a lot of physical challenges. In today's football all 11 players have to try the hardest to win the ball. That is simply a non negotiable. And for Özil he cannot do that anymore

What a load of bollocks look at any heat map of Özil he never crossed the half way line

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...-mesut-Özil-heat-map-unai-emery-to-blame/amp/

he wasn’t physical he didn’t track back even on corners he would just stand in between half way line and The box. Talking ****e saying he tracked back

What? Özil has been past it for a while I agree but Özil in his prime is absolutely not the player you describe, the bolded you've said about one of the most creative players of our era, perhaps the most. Very weird. Perhaps you never watched him for Madrid. Or Özil until 2016 or so.

Also Ramsey really doesn't belong on that list, even if he is not the most aesthetically pleasing to watch. Seems that people forget quickly that Ramsey was our best player in his last few years at the club.

That's not the only way to score goals, another way to score goals is to have players in your team who can run a lot. If you can make more runs you can exhaust your opponent's defenders and force them into making mistakes. You can also win the ball back and frustrate your opponent's attacks. And modern football has evolved to the stage where runners have become more important than creative players.

Perfect example was last evening. Although Leicester do have some really good passers of the ball too, threading passes into the channels. You don't need Xavi levels of accuracy as there is more space to work with. But if you're competent and you can spot the runs quickly (helps if you know which runs the forwards are gonna make by working at it in training) you're golden.
