That was a pretty poor match to watch we were too slow to get forward passed the ball too many times and gave the ball away too many times,
At least we didn't get a hammering like we have done in the past,
Hopefully we will play better in our next game and Partey, will be ready to play from the start of the game.

the vibe here is too negative.

willian at CF was a tactical mistake, negatively affected us. however this only becomes an issue if arteta repeats it.

overall we were negative but competitive, which is exactly how we have played (and gotten results) against big teams with better players. i thought everyone except the front 3 did their jobs well enough, with special mention to saka.

the issue with this team is the front 3. we have such little quality and creativity up there - this game exposed that in a major way. continuously losing the ball once it hit a front player.

We're like a bunch of whipped dogs. We used to get hammered by 5 and 6 goals so all of a sudden a 1-0 loss is not so bad and somewhat acceptable.

It makes me sick how far we done fell.

Yes great result, love losing 1-0 instead of 6-0, shows us how far we've come! We played a 75% man city, with the hand-brake on all game with no1 bothering to go forward until they scored.

Think Arteta next step is to be more offensive minded creating 3 goal chances a game won't win you alot of games.

I think he needs to get more out of our front 3. They need to get in positions and take more shots. Defence and midfield did as well as they could today.

Yes it's improvement than wenger days that has to be said when we going to these games we have hope of getting something not when wenger late year when we go to these game we were afraid about how much we going to lose this will take years to fix.

Didn't expect anything from City and Liverpool away at the start of this season. On paper those are easily the two hardest games, period.

Problem I have with today is I can't tell if we were actually defensively solid or City are just a team in decline + lacking confidence + missing their best/most creative player and those in combination made our defensive job easier.

Attacking wise were pretty pitiful and have been for a while. We don't create enough chances. We've been getting results (some of the big results) because we're converting the 1-2 solitary chances we make a game. But when we miss those, like we did today, then we just end up with a blank. It's unsustainable to play like that, living off 1-2 chances a game and hoping we're insanely clinical.

Still the second toughest challenge in England. Leicester should give us a fairer indication of where we sit.

Got to get into a 4-3-3. Saka is brilliant. Glad we didn't spaff it on Aouar

Some positives from that. The defence did quite well, Gabriel being the standout who looks the real deal. Thought Xhaka and Saka had good games as well.

The problems were the ones we knew we had before the game, lack of creativity and nothing on the counter attack. Our one method of creating chances is luring the opposition onto us and breaking their press.

Nah he’s good. Thought you would rate him, he’s bit of a banter merchant.

He's just annoying me atm, maybe it's because he's talking to a women, probably the womens fault.
