What's the point? Can't control it

Let’s discuss it. So we can turn a blind eye to the frailties we are facing. Same feeling leaving Anfield and Manchester. Yes we did not expect to win easily. However we leave thinking we did not try enough on both games for very obvious reasons.

If we have a similar feeling leaving Old Trafford in two weeks time then we can start talking. Until that point we are simply moving forward.

Decisions change games. Games at the top level are often decided by the slightest of margins. It was a big decision and the referee failed, he decided the game.

Toothless in attack but the two hardest games on paper are done in the first 5 games.

Can only go up from here.

@Makingtrax Wenger wouldn't be finishing in the top 4 over the past 3 seasons pal get a grip of yourself. ****ing embarrassing with these constant pointless comments.

Our shape for this game was perfect, the way we approached it was perfect and we actually created enough chances to at least draw. Bellend
Just supposition. We lost mate. And our last finishing position was 8th.

And stop with the bellend or the mods will be having a word.

One mistake cost us points today.

That’s all that was wrong with today’s performance.
If your xG is lower than the oppositions you're creating fewer chances, so you've got to be lucky to win. Like we were in the FA Cup against them. The trouble is luck isn't a sustainable way forward.

Chances dont = goals though? Opposition can create more chances on the break but not be the better team? Xg is dumb.

Fans have short memories, for a very long time Arsenal were a slapstick disaster waiting to happen and many fans wished we could just be boring and solid. Well that's basically what we are now, so let's see how it goes. But holy sh*t it is boring.

We played well and were really mature. Tactical battle that was on the conservative side(mainly due to City who were sitting deeper and were shutting off space in behind)
Created 2 top-class chances but Ederson did really well(as did Leno against Foden on the other side)
At the end we were a bit knackered as the game was crazy intense, still wish we create a "Plan B" for a scenario like that. Gabriel up top and aerial bombardment is a must.

Great defences win consistent titles. As Liverpool have shown.

Most big teams build from the front, sort their attack first and sometimes dont get the defence right (City and Chelsea). We now have our defence spot on, that includes Partey now as well. A solid base to work from.

Nobody has the right to complain because you cant fix all problems in one window. We have sorted out main problem for the past 10 years which is huge.

Trust the process.

Until we go 433 we'll know how offensive minded we are at the moment we team that get 10 shot or 15 maximum in game with few shots on targets. against big teams that won't won you games and you'll have to be clinical every game. The lack of creativity is showing saka who is only 19 years old is our best chance creator today hopefully with Partey here it'll unlock Ceballos and Saka to be more active going forward but that depend on mikel if he stick with 343 it won't improve us much

A process has milestones and assessments to validate progress. Based on results this season we need to address our chances creation conundrum. The FA Cup victories against City , Liverpool and Chelsea were fantastic based on our poor situation last season but should not be used as a shield at every analytical view on our current form. Reason apart from those victories , we have been never convincing while keeping the some good defensive displays. In addition those teams we have lost to 2 already. In the process we have played same , conceded possession , sat deep , conceded more chances and created very little in the process.

Again we need to start creating more.

This season i couldn't care less what results against City and Liverpool away from home are. All I care about is actually playing well, not getting smashed by 5 or 6 and being in the game. Which we have been, thus meaning its an improvement.

If we start losing against Leicester at home and such on a consistent basis then I'll be worried. But considering its the first transfer window and Arteta hasn't even been here for a year, let's not forget that... we are doing very well.
