It really is a bad mistake today though. Disappointing because it seemed like maybe he was gonna get past those but it's happened again. They really do hold him back from the level he could be at and at his age you have to think they are just part of the package forever now.

Still worth keeping for the drama on here imo.

We growing frustrated with these error Granit just cut it out
Probably the first time he apologised for being making mistakes in 5 years? And why does he say 'That's football' every time he has to talk about his own brainfarts? He used the same words in the interview after NLD where he conceded penalty.

What's depressing is, I can't stand seeing him play for us even when he's playing well because there's always that sense of impending doom. You know the ridiculous mistake is coming or is overdue, you just don't know when exactly.

It might sound like unfair criticism, but when you know a volcano is overdue to errupt you shouldn't decide to go hiking up it. It's stupid.

Probably be best for all parties if he leaves in the summer. Can see why jorginho was targeted now. Would take him all day over xhaka and had some jobber arsenal fans turn their nose up at it because chelsea "rejects" are bad right. .. only that arteta uses the 2 so called rejects whenever he can.

This is just turning into the Özil thread 2.0

The more reasons to be pissed off with the player, the more impressive the gymnastics in his defence, become. It just gets crazy. That’s where we’re heading.
It won't be long before politics and conspiracy theories starts to dominate discussion here.

Not even mad at Xhaka. He's been here for 5 years now, its the club's fault at this point. We know his strengths and weaknesses, and if its not working, you need to replace him.
Yeah by all accounts he was ready to head back to the Bundesliga so we can't really blame him for still being here.

So do you care more about pissing off others than Arsenal moving forwards? That to me seems a bit selfish and childish. That’s why this whole Xhaka thing is toxic. It’s no longer about the player, it’s about getting one over the other side. Even if you rate Xhaka, don’t you want more for him? Even if it’s somewhere else.

The dude has always seen xhaka as the second coming of Jesus Christ. Can do no wrong in his eyes.

I just don't think he raises the ceiling of the team. That has always been my biggest issue with him. You can handle some of the flaws of a player if they are a game-changer, like a Fabregas in his prime. What does Xhaka do so well that justifies all the **** we have to put up with in his game. He is good enough to be starting for Arsenal if we are a team that are going to be midtable from now on. But if we hope to become a top 4 side again that can compete in the champions league, we simply need better quality.
