Has anybody said why they celebrated that goal yet? Thought the Giroud and Bournemouth nonsense would have embarrassed this club enough but then they go and act like they’ve just scored a last minute winner at WHL when equalising against a soon to be relegated Fulham.

Not too fussed about Eddie celebrating, bit embarrising and more embarissing that others joined in. He's not had any chances for a while and he came off the bench and got a last minute equaliser, I can see why he might get carried away. The losers that put us in that position should be ashamed though.

Why will they not celebrate rescuing a point? It's not like its a meaningless consolation goal. It could count for something, however minor at the end of the season who knows? No footballer likes to lose and this meant they didn't lose.

It's about standards. If they want to spend time celebrating an equilizer in a home game against relegation fodder instead of taking the ball back and pushing for the win, it means they were happy with the result. Just like how Giroud was happy with the result in the Bournemouth game. One of the major problems with Arsenal teams in recent years has been a visible lack of ambition among players and this just proves the point.

What if they celebrated that the goal meant the continuum of Fulham never winning away at Arsenal?

There were seconds to go. Chances of getting the win were virtually nil and they had done what they could at that stage to rescue a point. Hardly likely to make a difference if they celebrated or not (in my view).

This result in isolation is not the problem. A top team can come unstuck against a relegation threatened team (it happens every year). What is the problem is that it happened far too many times this season, (Wolves, Burnley, Benfica etc, where we dominated an opponent and did not win. That speaks to something systemically wrong, either lack of sustained intensity or something else tactical. This is what Arteta needs to improve if he wants to keep his job.

Tbh, since ESR came into the team, our performance level is fine.

We killed the season with poor summer planning (so much for 95% of the forum who thought signing Thomas was more important than signing a 10) and a poor first half.

Since ESR against Chelsea:

City, 18 GP, 43.24 xPTS
Chelsea, 17 GP, 34.54 xPTS
United, 18 GP, 33.81 xPTS
West Ham,18 GP, 31.53 xPTS
Brighton, 18 GP, 30.57 xPTS
Arsenal, 17 GP, 29.24 xPTS

City: 2.40 xPTS/g
Chelsea: 2.03 xPTS/g
United: 1.87 xPTS/g
West Ham: 1.75 xPTS/g
Arsenal: 1.72 xPTS/g
Brighton: 1.69 xPTS/g
