Xhaka is about the same level as Bissouma imo. Berge considerably worse. It’s not strengthening the midfield, just adding depth. Not what we need at all.

Sander Berge is a decent squad player. I mentioned him before being a useful player. However I doubt he improves the starting 11. Which is a problem.

Bissouma would improve the starring 11. We not to buy more quality and less quantity.

He's really good, but isn't he just a younger Partey? We're just gonna have two very similar players next to each other in a pivot? Why not just keep Partey as a lone no. 6 and buy a midfielder who can offer something we don't currently have.

It depends on how the team set up is. If you have 2 attacking full backs (obviously pipe dream but Hakimi with Tierney), then your creativity can come from out wide more, & having Bissouma & Partey helps fill in those areas much in the same way Liverpool's midfield do, & also provides a good shield for say Saliba & Gabriel next season.

There's a reason why Liverpool are looking at him as a potential Wijnaldum replacement.

Modric/Cazorla are brilliant on the ball. That is my standard.
Partey/Bissouma are levels below. They are better defensively tho.

Bissouma offensive skills are being under rated. Watch him against Everton. He dominated the game. Driving forward beating guys with the dribble. Getting into dangerous positions. He is much more than a ball winner (which he is also very good at).
